Our History

Colyar Technology Solutions is a full-service consulting firm that specializes in the design, development, and implementation of Child Nutrition, Food Distribution, and Compliance management software.

Colyar was founded in 1989 and quickly became  a U.S. leader in child nutrition systems, now serving over half the nation. EMS LINQ, Inc (LINQ) acquired Colyar in September 2020, bringing together industry-leading technology that empowers schools and state agencies to streamline the management of their child nutrition programs.

LINQ is the first company to deliver a full suite of integrated solutions to help K-12 school districts better manage their operations. The LINQ platform includes software for finance & human resources, nutrition management, online payments, school websites, custom forms and document management. LINQ has been serving the K-12 community for over 30 years.

CTS has unequaled experience in the development of software products tailored to assist states in the management of federally funded Child Nutrition and Food Distribution Programs. We have been developing software to support Child Nutrition and Food Distribution Programs for over twenty years. CTS integrates emerging computer technologies with custom applications and system software to provide innovative, cost-effective and turnkey solutions.

Customer Service
Customer service is always the first priority of CTS. Project decisions are made with a clear focus of the customer’s needs and requirements. Our project methodology involves developing comprehensive requirements for each software module or functionality to be developed. This is accomplished via in-depth meetings and discussions of the customer’s business process and existing system.

Business Viability
CTS has enjoyed steady growth since its founding. In 2005, the company purchased a new primary facility for the Phoenix workforce. This facility encompasses over 9,000 square feet of modern work environment space that promotes teamwork and productivity. In 2015, the company expanded further, opening an office in Dallas, Texas. This expansion is helping facilitate additional workforce and better customer service capabilities.
